I officially kicked off the yard maintenance season this morning. After taking care of several little projects then started to mow the lawn. I had mowed across the top of the yard and started down the side when the self propel stopped working and started screaming like a banshee when I put it in gear. Luckily when I called the lawn mower guy he answered and said he come take a look at it. Turns out a little piece of wood got stuck in the gear box between the gear and belt. Never had that happen in all the years I been mowing. While I was waiting on him I went ahead and patched the bare spots with seed and fertilizer then mowed around them.
I am getting ready to run some errand. I need to get some straw for the patched spots and pick up some things from the drugstore.
Nice day today with lots of sunshine with highs in the low to mid 60’s a pretty good breeze at times.
