I left for Winston around 8am. There was a shredding event in Winston I wanted to hit to get rid of the three boxes of shredding from the garage. I usually only have a banker’s box or less a year but I cleaned out a bunch of old stuff from the two filing cabinets. We have a small shredder I use for shredding newspaper for the kits and small stuff but I keep a box for a lot of stuff I do not want to dump in the trash.

After I dropped off the shredding I made a stop at Bed, Bath, and Beyond on the way to Frances and Al’s for a visit. I wanted to see their new outdoor custom built shed. We went to lunch at Mid-Town Cafe then back to her house. From there I stopped at Costco then back home around 4pm.

The car’s outdoor temperature registered 100 in Winston and hovered around 97 all the way home until I reached the top of the mountain at Roaring Gap where it finally dropped to 88, which is what it is in Sparta. And, my car speedometer registered an even 50000 miles on the way down the mountain.
