Saturday

I had good but busy birthday yesterday. Lots of birthday wishes on my Facebook page and some nice cards from my co-workers. I went to lunch with one of my co-workers and Judy whom I met on the Chicago bus trip several years ago. Otherwise, I spent the day working on a big project for one our our paralegals. We are getting it completed in stages. I doubt I will be completely finished until after the first of the year.

Dad and I had a good time at his banquet last night. The band was one of the best ones they have had in years. They played music from 50’s, 60’s and 70’s and were pretty darn good at it. I got home around 10pm; long day but lots of fun.

This morning I took the HHR to Merchants to get the oil changed and air put in the tires. The low pressure light has been on for several weeks but I have not had time to get over there. Turns out I had a nail in one of my NEW tires that was in a place they could not patch. He showed it to me. The tires literally have no wear on them they only have 23000 miles on them. He matched a tire as close as he could to the other treads so it would drive evenly especially on wet pavement.

Once I finished up there I ran an errand on the way to meet my folks and Frances at Tripps for my birthday meal. I decided on having lunch instead of dinner for a change. I received some nice gifts including some new Christmas decorations and a few Border Collie items.

This afternoon I have been putting up more Christmas decorations. The big tree is almost finished, the small one in the den is finished, and I have the village set up. I should be able to get everything else done tomorrow.
