The walk up the hill this morning was quit invigorating between the 25 degree temperatures and the 15 mph winds. I don’t mind cold weather but I hate the wind. I blame it on fours years in Boone at Appalachian. My sophomore and junior years I lived in a dorm at the top of a hill looking over the parking lot for the football stadium. The wind was always blowing down that hill. Or, you would walk around the corner of a building an almost be blown off your feet when you were hit with a gust.
As I predicted the Y was packed tonight between the cold weather bringing in folks that would normally bike or run outdoors and all the first of the year newbies. Plus, I was not able to leave work my usual 15 minutes causing me get to get there a little later than usual.
