Frances and Al came up for the day and brought their neighbors Constance and Robert. Frances and Constance and Robert have been neighbors for 21 years. I called Al Thursday to see if he and Frances would come up today and get all that produce I picked Thursday. Their neighbors had been wanting to come up with them sometime to see the house and visit Sparta. It worked out they were free today to come along.
They got here a little after 10 am. We visited for awhile then went into town to eat lunch at The Pines. Afterwards we walked around downtown Sparta. Back home, we picked more produce and finally some apples. This years crop was slow to ripen and they did not get as big as they did last year. They are a cooking apple as opposed to an eating apple. I sent all the apples home with them. Al will cook up some applesauce and freeze some for me.
