I am reading Twenty-one Days by Anne Perry. The library has been closed for over a week. I still have books to read I checked out before they closed. Once I read those I have plenty on my TBR shelf.

55 degrees, sunny, and calm this morning when I took Colin out.

For a change of scenery I drove into town to walk at the park. Glad I did. One of my morning gym friends showed up to walk while I was there. We walked together, her on one side of the path, me on the other, to respect the social distancing. While we were there we saw a few other folks that are usually at the gym walking in the morning. It was good to see them and know they are all doing okay.

Upper 60’s today with partly cloudy skies this afternoon and the winds have picked up. May blow in a shower this afternoon.

Our library has been closed for quite some time. We’ve been told to not return books. I have a stack to go back – I feel guilty knowing they are overdue.

We had quite a windy day yesterday so snuck out to a vacant lot with my 8 year old and flew a kite for a bit. It tugged her around and wore her out. The wind was fierce.

Alaska is very serious about this social distancing idea and most shops (besides groceries, gas stations, and those serving vices) are closed. Graphing our “officially tested and confirmed ill” numbers from the beginning I can see that we have successfully changed our doubling rate from every two days to every eight days. Given that it’s based off flawed data (we are testing such a small segment of our population) perhaps any celebration is unmerited. However it feels like good news.

Hope you continue to find ways to stay healthy and active and content.

    Thanks.
