Temperature this morning was 24 degrees with a wind chill of 16. Still windy and cold with highs today in the mid 30’s and 10 to 15 mph winds.
I am sticking around the house doing odds and ends to get ready for putting up the Christmas decorations later this week. Thanksgiving plans are still up in the air right now as is when I will get the shower repaired.
Cloudy this morning with temperatures in the low mid 40’s and windy. Gusty winds this afternoon with temperatures dropping down into the upper 20’s by tonight.
I decided to go the grocery store this morning to try to beat the last minute Thanksgiving shoppers. I only a needed a few things. The store was crowded but not packed.
This afternoon I had to wait on the plumber to come change my water filter and look at the valve on my shower. He needs a part he did not have on his truck so could not fix it on this visit.
Today is cloudy and mild with temperatures in the mid 40’s and calm winds. Maybe some rain showers this afternoon and tonight.
Along with the usual weekly house cleaning chores I did a couple of small projects. I vacuumed the bathroom window and cleaned the blinds. Did the same vacuuming of the big den window. It does not have blinds. Then I did a couple of other odds and ends.
I’m boiling rice to make stir fry for dinner.
28 degrees this morning. Today is mostly sunny with a high in the low 40’s and a breeze.
JoAnn picked me up around 10;30 to drive into town. The local farmer’s market group held a combination crafts and food products sale where they hold the weekly Saturday farmer’s market. It was small but they had some nice things.
We then went over to her husband’s parents house about a mile away from my house. They have not lived here for a long time but kept the house. Jeff and Jo now own the house but right now it sits empty. Her son is raising goats there.
After we visited with the goats we stopped a little restaurant just located on 21 just up the road from the house then she brought me home.

Off to the gym this morning then I had to run several errands while in town.
Picked up a load of books I had reserved to get me through next week since the library will be closed Thursday and Friday. We can reserve books from libraries all over the state. They go to our main regional library then are delivered up here but only three days a week.
It’s a great service to those of us who are avid readers to be able to borrow them instead of having to purchase. I do buy a few here and there that I really want to read and cannot get from the library.

I went to the grocery store this morning to pick up a few things. Taking advantage to the nice weather I gathered up the leaves piled up along the front and driveway side of the porch. Some more may accumulate there again but should not be as many.
Changed and washed the linens and did a few odds and ends this afternoon.
The winds howled last night as predicted. Today is sunny but still breezy. It was 31 this morning but with the winds felt like the mid 20’s. Things have warmed back up into the low 40’s this afternoon.
The leaves that were in the front yard are now blown up in piles along the porch wall in the natural area. Too chilly and windy today to get them up.
I went to the gym this morning but otherwise just hanging around the house.
32 degrees this morning with lots of sunshine and a breeze. A cold front is coming through this afternoon and tonight bringing 15 to 20 mph winds with gusts to 50 or higher. Today’s highs in the low 40’s.
As usual I did the Sunday cleaning chores and washed a load of towels. For dinner tonight chicken thighs in the crock pot.
