Cloudy and chilly today with a breeze. Temperatures in the upper 40’s with off and on drizzle. Tonight’s  lows are hovering just at the freezing mark. To be safe I will move the mum up my the house and cover it with a towel.

This morning went into town to drug and grocery stores. Still a lot of empty shelves but I picked up what I needed.

This afternoon changed the linens. While they washed and dried I had a few odds and end things to do in the house. Then I spent some time at the computer doing first of the month banking stuff.

Sunny today and mild with temperatures in the low 50’s but it’s breezy.

When I got back from running errands and going to the gym I did some final gardening chores. We are due to get temperatures down into the upper 20 earlier this week and low 20’s with a chance of a dusting of snow or a cold rain by the end of the week.

That means the lantanas  and the Mexican petunia will get bit by the wind and the cold.

My friend Donna took my mandavilla home with her to over winter on her sun porch. She stopped by yesterday to bring me something she made for my dinner and said it was too pretty to just toss out. So, we’ll see how it does.

Frances and Al left around 11 for Winston.

I cleaned the bathrooms, vacuumed, and dusted then put in a load of towels.

This morning was cloudy, cool, and breezy with temps in the upper 40’s. The sun has come out but the temps are only in the low 50’s and it’s still breezy.

Frances and Al arrived last night around 5:30. I had put a Kirkland lasagna in the  oven. While it cooled Al unloaded the truck and Frances fixed some garlic bread.

Today we’ve just sat around watching TV. It was sunny this morning but the rain has moved back in this afternoon. Temps in the low 50’s and calm winds.

Al is fixing waffles and sausage for dinner.

I am reading Valley of the Shadow by Carola Dunn.

I had about two inches of rain last night. This morning it was sunny and breezy with temps in the upper 40’s.

I volunteered at the bookstore again today. Moderately busy day with good sales. Around midday it started raining again. Now it’s partly sunny and cool with temps in the low 50’s. May get a few more stray showers from this front that is trying to move north.

Cloudy, breezy, and chilly today with temperatures in the upper 40’s. The rain is supposed to start sometime late this afternoon.

I went to the gym this morning and stopped by the library to return and pick up books.

James stopped by. We decided to skip mowing this week. The grass is not very high and with all the wind we’ve had this week the leaves are not that thick on the ground.

The next couple of days are a little busy so I decided to go ahead and do the laundry this afternoon while I took care of a few household odds and ends.

Chilly this morning with the winds still howling. It was 39 degrees. But, the sun has come out, the winds have died down, and it has warmed up into the low 50’s.

I volunteered at the bookstore again today. We were pretty busy with customers most of the day. Otherwise, worked on processing a big pile of donations.

My friend JoAnn is here now for a visit.

We had a little over an inch of rain yesterday evening. The skies cleared out this morning bringing sunshine but we have 15 to 20 mph winds with gusts up to 50 mph at times. High wind warning until 11 tonight. We will be lucky if we make it into the mid 50’s for a high today. With the winds it feels like it is in the low 40’s.

I went to the grocery store this morning. Shelves are still bare in places particularly the frozen food sections. I only needed a few things which were all in stock. Not sure why but the place was packed for a Tuesday morning.

Warmer today with highs in the mid 60’s. Partly sunny and breezy. We may get rain or a thunderstorm later this afternoon and evening.

I went to the gym this morning.

I watered the mum and moved it from the edge of the porch to up by the house. We may get some high winds later this evening or tonight. The mandavilla is still in full bloom. It’s also up the by house to keep it out of the wind. The two lantana’s in the ground are still in full bloom. They will be fine until we get a freeze.

Low 60’s again today with lots of sunshine and a breeze.

I cleaned the bathrooms and did a light vacuum. Washed a load of towels and did a few odds and ends in the kitchen. Went out and pulled up the flowers by the mailbox and watered the mum.
