I left the house around 9:15 to drive over to Mt. Airy to meet Bonnie. We shopped one side of the street then stopped for lunch before doing the other side of the street then we parted ways for home.

The major downtown area runs about four blocks with lots of shops and a few restaurants. Lots of people around but not overly crowded. We wore our masks.

It was another beautiful day. Warm down the mountain in the upper 70’s. It’s a bit cooler up here with temps in the low 70’s with lots of sunshine.

Off to the gym this morning then stops at the library and drug store.

Did a couple of things outdoors.

Lots of sunshine again and cool weather. Not rain again for a week or so. Still, the grass is high enough I will have James mow today just in case next week we get lots of rain.

Need to do a few odds and ends in the house this afternoon and some work at my computer.

Another beautiful fall day. Temperatures in the mid 70’s with a few clouds here and there and a breeze.

I worked at the bookstore for awhile today. We were fairly busy with about half and half between locals and tourists.

Another day of temperatures in the mid 70’s with lots of sunshine and a breeze.

Billing’s came this morning to do the fall service check on the heating and to change the filters. After they left I went to the grocery store to pick up a few odds and ends.

This afternoon I had my three month follow up appointment with my GP and do blood work.

Lots of sunshine with highs today in the low 70’s with a breeze. Lows the last couple of nights have been in the mid to upper 50’s after we had several upper 40’s.

I went to the gym this morning then ran a couple of errands.

Before hitting the shower and fixing lunch I dumped all but one of the hanging pots and one of the porch ones and washed those out. The flowers in the two porch pots are still looking good so I left them and the hanging pot on the bird feeder pole. The two mandevillas on the deck are looking great as well.

Another day with lots of sunshine but breezy with temps in the upper 60’s for a high.

I vacuumed, dusted, and cleaned the downstairs area this morning before getting started doing the same up here.

Need to wash a load of towels and do a few things at my computer this afternoon.

Another beautiful fall day in the mountains.

I did the laundry this morning while I was waiting on Tina to drive up from Pilot Mountain for a visit. She arrived a little after 12. We went into town for lunch then came back to the house. She stayed until almost 5.

The day started off cool again with temperatures in the upper 40’s. Lots of sunshine again today with a breeze and it’s warmed up into the low 60’s.

I did another shift at the bookstore today. Business was steady with both locals and folks from out of town and out of state.

Lots of sunshine today but winds are blowing 10 to 15 mph with temperatures in the upper 50’s.

Despite the wind I ventured outside this morning to take care of odds and ends gardening chores. I emptied a couple of plants done for the year; one in a hanging basket and one on the porch and washed out the pots.

I cut back the sedum and the Rose of Sharon by the steps. It did not do very well this year but the one at the end of the porch is still looking okay. I had some grass and weeds in the natural area along the driveway to be pulled and from around the lilies in the back.

After lunch I changed the sheets and did a few things on the computer. Waiting on James to come and mow.

Sunny this morning when I left for the bookstore. The next wave of rain started around noon. It’s poured off and on all afternoon with temperatures holding steady in the upper 50’s.

Rain should be out of here by early evening bringing a cold front in behind it.

We were moderately busy considering the weather.
