Very fall like today. Temperature this morning when I took Colin out was 58 degrees with clouds and 10 mph winds. The sun has come out and its warmed up some but the high today is only 68 and still breezy.
Colin is delighted I am home today after spending three days mostly home alone. In addition to changing the sheets I have some other odds and ends to take care of around the house.

I worked my usual shift at the bookstore today. We are still working on stocking the shelves for the big store wide half price sale this Friday and Saturday. Not may customers today nor did I see a lot of traffic on the sidewalks so it may be a slow day today for all the downtown stores.
Heard a couple of rumbles of thunder this afternoon and had a couple of big rain drops on the way home.
Another sunny, fall like day.
I went to the grocery store this morning. Found the few things I was looking for. Lots of stocking of shelves was going on bu the ice cream/frozen dairy section was sparse.
I came home, fixed some lunch, then went in to work about three hours at the bookstore again today to help Joyce sort more books.

I went to the gym this morning then Joyce called and asked if I wasn’t busy if I could help do some work at the bookstore today. we are closed today but it is easier to restock our shelves from the duplicates behind our work area because we can yell out the author and titles to see if we need them on the shelf and we don’t interrupt folks trying to shop.
I met her about 1 and we worked until 4. The overflow shelves were also in a bit of a mess so we started at the A’s and made it through the C’s organizing both the customer shelves and our back stock shelves.

Did the house cleaning chores this morning, watered the hanging baskets and plants on the deck, and am washing a load of towels.

Another fall like day with lots of sunshine and temps in the low 70’s.
George showed up around 9 am to repair the stone work along the front porch and the ceiling in the garage around the chimney from last year’s earthquake.
While he got started I ran a quick errand in town. I then worked on gardening projects while he was working on the repairs. It only took him about two hours.
After he left I swept the garage where the car is parked then gave it a wash before pulling back in.
That was enough for me for one day.

I went into town to the library to pick up my library books and drop off something at the bookstore for Joyce then back home. Did a couple of things outdoors.
I had about two and half inches of rain over night and this morning from Ida.
Skies were mostly cloudy this morning when I left for town to volunteer at the bookstore. The sun came out for about an hour then more of those outer bands of Ida came back around as she headed on north. We’ve had maybe another half inch or so.
A steady business at the bookstore from mid morning until mid afternoon.
