I am reading Death in Hyde Park by Robin Paige.
A nice fall day with warm temperatures and very little wind. My favorite fall birds are back at my feeder, down woodpeckers, nuthatches and tufted titmouse.
Al is doing some household chores. I had PT, nurse, and OT today. I am bending the knee 70 percent. Pretty good for less than a week out from surgery.
Al and Frances headed back down the mountain around noon. He has a few things to do in Winston then will be back up. While they were gone JoAnn came over for a visit and to keep me company.
Another nice fall day. We are just spending the day hanging around the house. My home health administrative person is coming by to get me reinstated. They have to do that if I go into the hospital and come back home even for just the one night.
Meantime I take walks around the house and do my exercises.
Thanks to everyone who posted well wishes. The knee replacement went well. Now it’s exercises and rehab. Home health will continue to come starting Monday with OT and PT.
A lovely fall day. Al dumped all the flower pots that got bit by the frost, washed them, and put them away in the garage.
Al and Frances and are going into town later to the store and pick up my prescriptions. I get up and walk around every few hours and do my exercises.
Surgery went well yesterday. They had me up and walking an hour after I was in my room. Lot of pain this morning as the nerves started waking up but we had everything under control. PT came and gave me the okay to come home. Al and Frances picked me up at 4:30 and we headed up the mountain. She took tomorrow off.
Now lots of exercises and PT to get back on my feet.
The frost killed all the perennials last night. The ones in the hanging baskets under the porch were spared but they are about bloomed out anyway.
OT and PT today otherwise a quiet around the house.
Winds gusting well over 50 mph last night. It was 29 degrees this morning with a wind chill of 11.
Winds have died down and it’s warmed up into the upper 40’s.
Al went to the store. I had nurse and OT today.
Another blustery day with winds gusting to 45 mph plus. Otherwise sunny and warm but mid 20’s tonight.
Al did a load of towels. I paid the first of the month bills but otherwise that about all that’s happening today.
Bonnie washed her sheets and towels and stay until Al go here around 2 :30. I really do appreciate all the things she did for me while she was here.
Al is back until after the knee surgery and hopefully a quick recovery so he can go back home.
Gusty winds all night. They’ve settled down a little today. High of 47 today and a low of 32 tonight. We had a few trees down in the county but the worst of the damage was down in Yadkin and Winston.
Bonnie did a load of laundry for me. I have PT, OT, and the nurse today.
