Another nice fall day. Very little wind, mid 60’s, and lots of sunshine.

Today is the last day I will have help in the morning with Colin and in the afternoon from Heidi. Going to go it alone starting tomorrow.

This morning the plumber came to change the filter for the well. I had PT this morning and OT this afternoon. Heidi is cleaning my bathroom good today. I am taking out the shower bench and taking off the toilet  riser. She is scrubbing down the shower. We are washing a load of towels along with the showers curtain, liner, and skid mat.

Starting Monday with my OT folks here I will be doing stand up showers.

A nice sunny, calm day.

My friends Nancy and Betsy came up from Winston for a visit. They arrived around 11:15 and brought lunch. They left around 2. It was so good to see them. Nancy came to visit when I was in rehab but I have not seen Betsy since February.

Heidi will be here later this afternoon. We are still getting some household chores taken care of. She needs to take me over to the library at some point to pick up a book.

28 degrees this morning. Winds are still at 15 mph but not gusting the way they were yesterday. Lots of sunshine with a high in the mid 40’s.

I have PT and OT today. Also, Heidi will be here this afternoon. I have several household chores she is going to help me with.

Sunny, windy, and cold today. 41 degrees with winds gusting 25 to 30 mph. Feels like 31.

The nurse came today and removed the staples. There is still a lot of swelling but with the staples out I will gain a little bit more mobility.

Evelyn came this morning at 7:30 to help with feeding Colin and help with my breakfast. Heidi will not be here until late this afternoon to help me with my dinner and cleanup.

My lower back is still giving me a lot of trouble which is not making rehabbing the knee any easier.

50 mph wind gusts last night. This morning it was 38 degrees with the winds still blowing around 35 to 40. High today in the upper 40’s but the winds have died down into the 16 to 20 range.

Al left for Winston today. They will be back for Thanksgiving. I am using Home Instead and a private pay this week. There are some things I just am not able to do right now. I have a private pay coming in the morning to feed Colin, let him out, and help me with my breakfast. Home Instead person is coming in the afternoon to help me with some household chores and with my dinner and clean up.

Al drove me down to Winston this morning. We left at 8:45. We stopped at Costco, Lowes, and the pet store  and back home a little after 1.

Fog and rain down and back. It’s windy, cloudy, and damp here with a chance of rain.

Al drove us over to Boone this morning so I could get my car serviced. It was way over due with me being out of commission for the last seven months. An hour and half drive each way plus waiting time for the service. I’m about done in.

It was at least a nice day for a drive. Sunny and warm.

I had PT, OT, and a nurse visit this morning.

Al went to the grocery store for me and also returned and picked up a book from the library and stopped by the vets to pick another six month supply of heart worm medicine for Colin.

A nice fall day with lots of sunshine and temperatures in the mid 50’s.

We had somewhere between 7 and 8 inches of rain from Tuesday night through this morning.

Al is Winston. My friends from Winston were supposed to come for a visit but decided not to come due to the weather and warnings. I think most of the rain has moved out of here but I read down the mountain there was a lot trees down and heavily wet road conditions. This is the second time they have tried to come and been deterred by a coastal weather system.

PT came to give me my shower. Otherwise, I am home alone. I did my knee exercises this morning and need to do another set this afternoon.

Overcast all day with a few showers and temperatures in the low 60’s. Heavier rain is moving in tonight and tomorrow.

I had OT and PT today. Knee is coming along. Otherwise we’ve had a quiet day.
