Cloudy and cool, low 40’s when I left for Winston this morning/

The sun was shinning down the mountain but when we left the restaurant skies had clouded over and remained that way all the way back home. Not sure how warm it got it here but it’s only in the upper 40’s right now.

I met Betsy and Nancy for lunch at River Birch which is on “this side of Winston” which meant I did not have to go all the way into town. It’s actually about ten minutes from where we used to live. Had a nice lunch and visit then headed back home.

A nice day with highs in the low 50’s and sunny but breezy. We had a little of half an inch of rain from last night into this morning. Washed away most of the snow that was still lying around except for the big piles here and there.

Half price paperback sale today but we sold more hardbacks than paperbacks. Lots of steady traffic all day and made over $300.00. After a slow January this is a great start to February.

Going out to dinner with Donna to the Mexican restaurant.

Sunny and warmer today with highs in the low 50’s, except, the 30 to 50 mph wind gusts which started last night.

A slow day at the store but we had two big sales that put us over $100.00 which was nice. We have taken a temporary break in working on the big donations  because the store shelves are full right now. I helped Joyce work on a couple of displays for the store for February.

Another cold day with a low in single digits. We got up to the mid 20’s this afternoon. Thankfully, no wind and lots of sunshine.

A very slow day at the store. A couple of customers but we worked on more of the donation boxes.

It’s cold. Lots of sunshine with a high today of 17. Low this morning in single digits plus a wind chill below freezing. We will have the same temps for the next couple of days. Still some snow laying around in the shaded areas in the yard and around town.

Gym this morning. This afternoon I went over to Donna’s to craft.

We had a mix of rain/sleet/freezing rain this morning but it did not last long. Temps were just above freezing when I checked around 9 am. Pat was unsure about getting out of her driveway but mine was just slushy so I opened the store. Tomorrow the temps plunge back down into the teens for highs and single digits for lows with some more precipitation falling.

We were busy off and on all day. One of our best days so far this month with all the nasty weather. We finally did over $100 with several big sales to help out. Pat and Wendy came in around noon. We had several donations come in the door to work on.

After a cold start to the day with temperatures in the teens it’s warmed up to a a balmy 35 degrees with lots of sunshine and, thankfully, no wind.

A slow day at the store with customers but we still did okay in sales considering. Otherwise I spent the day working on the big donation.
