Another warm day with temperatures making it to 60 degrees this afternoon.

Frances and Al left for home around 11. I’v missed Bob a lot during the holidays so having them here makes it extra special. We had a lot of fun. Colin certainly enjoyed all the attention. I had a week off of the morning routine feeding and taking Colin out.

It is now time to start the first of the year deep clean.

I started in the kitchen this afternoon. I took everything off the island where the cook top is. I took the cook top apart and cleaned it along with that counter. Next, I took all the stuff off the counters and cleaned and reorganized them. I never use the toaster that was parked in the back corner. I will store it downstairs on the shelves. I made room for Al’s coffee pot to get it off the top of the fridge and moved my waffle iron back to the corner.

I still need to wipe down the cabinet fronts. I can do that this afternoon while a do a load of laundry.

44 with mostly cloudy skies and a slight breeze. High in the upper 50’s today.

We’ve spent a leisurely morning watching TV and relaxing. Not sure what we will do the rest of the day. Lunch is a combination of leftovers from the week of cooking.

Another warm and sunny day. We did small projects this morning. Frances and Al brought up a new decorative piece to hang on the wall in their bedroom. Al hung that and replace the broken handle on the dryer with a new one I ordered from Amazon. I put away my Christmas presents.

Frances and Al are fixing chicken enchiladas for dinner tonight.

41 degrees, sunny, and calm when I left for the gym this morning. Joyce and I decided it was not worth opening the bookstore.

After getting back home I washed the car. It was nasty. No rain in sight for the rest of the week. Looks like we will have a warm and sunny Christmas this year. I have odds and ends to do this afternoon before Frances and Al arrive.
