We dodged another bullet with the weather. Had it been a little bit colder we would be having a snow storm today. Instead, as of early this morning we have over three and half inches of rain and it is still coming down. Early this morning it was mixed with some sleet and freezing rain.

Temperatures are hovering in the upper 30’s right now but are supposed to fall into the mid 20’s tonight.

I’ve been out splashing around all morning. I went to the gym and the library then stopped at the grocery store. Found my usual weekly items plus needed to stock up some oft used pantry items since I did not go the store last week.

I was scheduled to have my implant put in next Monday but they called with a cancellation for today at 11:45 so I took it. After almost a year the process is completed. Did not have any problems and feels just like getting a crown.

We are under flood and high wind warnings tonight through tomorrow morning.

Gym this morning then home to shower and eat lunch. I had a Friends of the Library meeting at 1 then stopped by Donna’s on the way home for a visit with her and the dogs.

A messy day. Temperatures here at the house are in the low 40’s but other parts of the county are at or below freezing making those roads treacherous. Some icing on the trees and decks here.

Pat and I decided not to open the store due to the conditions in the county and surrounding areas. Doubt folks will be out and about and we don’t need to risk falling walking to and from the car.

Instead, I will spend the day putting the decorative stuff and pictures back out.

Sunny but cold today. Upper 20’s when I left for the store. We made it to 34 degrees by this afternoon with a breeze. Sometime tonight we are supposed to have ice/sleet/snow moving in.

Despite a chilly, slow day we still did well in sales. Did not reach the $100.00 ceiling but made more today than we did both Wednesday and Thursday combined. Had a couple of small donations come in to work on.

Mostly sunny today but cold. Temperatures in the upper 20’s to low 30’s and breezy. Wind chills down in the teens. We had a bit of precipitation over night but it only stuck to natural areas. Tonight we go down into the 20’s.

Instead of going to the gym I finished up the dinning room, foyer, and den deep clean. Not much furniture in those rooms to move around to vacuum, dust, and mop. Now all the upstairs is finished. Today and this weekend I will start dusting and putting the stuff from the closet back on the tables, etc. where it was stored for Christmas decorating.

Sunny this morning before the clouds rolled in this afternoon. We made it into the low 40’s with calm winds. Rain/snow sometime tonight but not much is predicted.

A slow sales day but a hard work day at the store. Helped Joyce take down and stow all the Christmas decorations in the back room. Processed a couple of donations and helped Joyce pull books for the January window display.

I went to the gym this morning. I am starting my first of the year deep clean. I’ve already done the kitchen so today I changed the sheets and did the deep clean in the bedroom.

This afternoon I have some things to do here at my desk.

Happy New Year.

I celebrated the New Year by fixing a pizza then going to bed early and reading. However,  I was still up at midnight reading which is a good way to see the New Year in.

I watched the parade this morning then finished packing up and putting away the Christmas decorations. I hauled the tree down to the woods in the back of the property. The wild animals can enjoy it for the rest of the year.

This afternoon I will start working on post Christmas cleanup.

Sunny but chilly today with highs in the mid 30’s and breezy. We had snow flurries all morning but nothing hit the ground.

A busy day at the store. Did well over $200.00 by the time all was said and done.

I met Donna downstairs after work at The Cellar to celebrate New Year’s Eve Eve. A friend of hers was playing. He and his friend do 60’s and 70’s stuff. Really good music. We stayed for both sets then headed for home.

Sunny but cold today. It snowed almost all day but did not stick to anything. The sun came out late this afternoon but the temperature is 31 and it feels like 21 with the wind. Tonight is to go down into the upper 20’s.

We had a moderately good day at the store despite the weather. We did not break the $100.00 ceiling but came close. Had a few donations come in to work on.
