Mostly cloudy today with temperatures in the upper 30’s. Winds at around 10 mph bringing the wind chill down into the upper 20’s.

A slow day at the store. Lot of folks on the street going to the coffee shop but no much traffic for us. Had several browsers but only a few paying customers. Still, we had a good overall month in sales for a January.

Winds were howling last night with gusts in the 50 mph range. Kept me awake until the wee hours of this morning. Temperature today is in the upper 30’s but we still have 15 to 20 mph wind gusts.

I went to the gym then drove over to Galax, VA. Had to stop at the Verizon store to check on something with my phone. Also, did a big Wal-Mart run to stock up on pantry items, etc.

Changed the sheets this afternoon and did a few things here at my desk.

Sunny this morning. Clouds moved in around noon and the rain started around 3. Temps have held steady all day in the upper 40’s. We are under a flood warning for heavy rain coming in tonight.

A very busy day. Almost made $200.00. Except for a brief lull around midday and late afternoon we were busy all day with customers as well as several small donations to be processed.

A warm but messy day with light rain/drizzle, sometimes blowing sideways, all day. Temperatures in the low 50’s and tonight in the upper 40’s. More rain tonight and tomorrow. But, less than an inch fell today so far/

Despite the nasty day we almost broke the $100.00 ceiling with most of the customers coming in this afternoon. We had a six box donation Joyce and I worked on between customers.

A mostly sunny but cold day. We had wind snow showers most of the morning and some this afternoon. High today was 14. Wind chill right now is minus zero. Low tonight will be in the single digits with wind chills well below freezing.

Despite the cold day we almost broke the $100.00 ceiling in sales. Steady busy most of the day with lots of regulars in.

We had freezing precipitation over night and early this morning. Winds were howling all night with 40 and 50 mph gusts. The high was this morning at 30 degrees than began falling around midday and will continue to fall down into the teens tonight. Wind chills will be down into the single digits. We’ve had off and on snow all day and with the winds was mostly blowing sideways or swirling.

Pat and I decided not to open the store for several reasons. The roads were not that bad but  I was worried about her walking from the parking lot to the store. We also decided with the winds and cold temps not a lot of people would be out and about shopping and we would not have very many customers.

So, spent the day doing various house chores and watching NetFlix.

Mostly cloudy today and warmer. Highs in the upper 30’s with calm winds. We are under another weather advisory for tonight.

I had to open the store for Joyce who had to attend an early morning meeting. She arrived about an hour after opening time. We have a Thursday volunteer that works with Joyce but she does not open or close.

With here there to mind the front of the store Joyce and I went to the back to sort the big donation that came in Tuesday. That took a couple of hours then I left. I made a stop at the library and a quick stop at grocery store to just pick up milk and lettuce. It was crowded with “winter weather warning” shoppers so I just picked up bare necessities.
