Sunny this morning before the clouds rolled in this afternoon. We made it into the low 40’s with calm winds. Rain/snow sometime tonight but not much is predicted.

A slow sales day but a hard work day at the store. Helped Joyce take down and stow all the Christmas decorations in the back room. Processed a couple of donations and helped Joyce pull books for the January window display.

Happy New Year.

I celebrated the New Year by fixing a pizza then going to bed early and reading. However,  I was still up at midnight reading which is a good way to see the New Year in.

I watched the parade this morning then finished packing up and putting away the Christmas decorations. I hauled the tree down to the woods in the back of the property. The wild animals can enjoy it for the rest of the year.

This afternoon I will start working on post Christmas cleanup.

Sunny but cold today. It snowed almost all day but did not stick to anything. The sun came out late this afternoon but the temperature is 31 and it feels like 21 with the wind. Tonight is to go down into the upper 20’s.

We had a moderately good day at the store despite the weather. We did not break the $100.00 ceiling but came close. Had a few donations come in to work on.

Sunny and chilly today with highs in the mid 40’s and breezy.

I had to fill in at the bookstore today. We were not busy with sales but had a busy working day moving around some bookshelves and getting more things organized.

The art gallery across the hall from us closed down at the end of last month. They gave us several books cases and a revolving rack. We replaced some very old and ratty looking things that have been in the store forever with the newer looking stuff.

Also, one of the owners who in not very good physical health came in this morning to get the last of some of his things so Joyce and I helped him get some stuff into his truck.

Over 4 inches of rain yesterday and another half inch overnight into this morning. The sun finally came out around midday. Temperatures climbed into the mid 50’s with calm winds.

A busy day at the store. We had a brief lull around midday to give us time to eat some lunch. Mostly out of town folks in town visiting relatives and spending the day in town shopping, lunch, etc. We easily broke the $100.00 ceiling. In between customers we did some more store organizing.
