Sunny and cool today with temperatures in the low 70’s. Breezy but not the 40 mph gusts we had yesterday.
I cleaned the bathrooms then headed outside. Because of the wind yesterday I needed to water all the plants this morning. It was so windy it actually blew some of my lilies out of the ground that are planted along the driveway.
I spray painted a first coat on the bird feeder then while that dried I watered. Back inside to rest a few minutes before I started the vacuuming. I did a couple of rooms, rested, then went back out to put a second coat on the bird feeder. I finished the vacuuming, showered, and started the towels washing.
That’s about it for today’s chores.
Mostly sunny, warm, and breezy this morning with 15 to 20 mph winds and temperatures in the low 80’s.
I stopped by the library to return and pick up books then went to the gym. The dishwasher installer was supposed to be here early afternoon but he called to say he was running behind. So, have no idea when or if I will see him.
Now we are under severe thunderstorm watch until 7 pm. Yesterday and last night the storms went around us. That may be the case again this afternoon and evening.
Mostly sunny today with temperatures in the mid to upper 80’s and breezy. Several times the skies clouded up like it wanted to rain but nothing became of it.
Bonnie drove up for a visit arriving around 11. It never did rain yesterday so while I waited for her to get here I watered all the pots and ground plants and filled the bird feeders.
We went into town for lunch at Muddy Creek then made a couple of stops in town on the way back home. She just left a few minutes ago for home.
She brought me home grown green beans and squash from her garden that I will fix for my dinner.
Low 80’s today with lots of sunshine and a 10 to 15 mph breeze.
They left for Winston around 11.
The front of the house looks so much nicer with all the hanging and porch pots filled with flowers. They also put out a nice array of marigolds around the mailbox. Keeping them watered will give me something to do.
Al spent another two days finishing the weeding along the driveway. Hopefully I can keep that under control as well.
The laundry is washed and dried and a load of towels is washing.

We drove over to West Jefferson this morning to Lowe’s so I could buy a new dishwasher. Repair part did not work.
From there we stopped at a garden center we like on the way back out of Jefferson. On the way into Sparta we stopped in town so Frances and Al could go to one of the stores to look for something. I sat in the truck.
We will be potting plans this afternoon.
