Mostly sunny and warm with temperatures in the low 80’s and calm winds.

Trip down to Winston today for my annual eye doctor appointment. Warm and steamy down the mountain.

Although things are still dry James is mowing today. The clover and whatever else will grow in dry weather needs cutting.

Mostly sunny and warm today with temperatures in the low 80’s.

I spent most most of the day at the bookstore. We were busy off and on but we had several good sales making it a profitable day for the store.

It was 66 degrees at 9:45 this morning when I  left for the gym. Today high only in the low to mid 70’s with a breeze and mostly sunny skies.

I changed the sheets before I left for the gym. On the way I stopped by Scott’s to pick up another can of gray spray paint.

Back home I decided to tackle several odds and ends projects since it’s such a nice day.

I watered the flowers, pulled some weeds, and transplanted some stone crop ground cover to the bed along the driveway. Next I hand painted the garden flag pole that sits on the deck then spray painted my cement bunny rabbit dish that I keep water in for the birds and butterflies. And, I touched up the pole on the bird feeder I painted last week.

Partly sunny today with highs in the low 70’s. We had a brief shower yesterday afternoon. Maybe 2 tenths of an inch. The best chance for rain today went around us.

Gym this morning to work the knee. It’s slowly coming along with range of motion. I stopped at the library to return and pick up a book then back home.

Sunday June 26, 2022

Cloudy today with temperatures in the upper 70’s. We’ve had a few light showers off and on with a chance for more this afternoon and evening. So far, not enough rain to do much for the dry conditions.

Frances and Al left around 11:30 for home. I put in a load of towels, vacuumed, cleaned the bathrooms, and dusted.

I have lots of left overs from the wonderful meal Frances and Al fixed last night.

Saturday June 25, 2022

Mostly sunny today with temperatures in the low 80’s. Slight chance of a thunderstorm this afternoon.

We drove over to Independence, VA this morning to shop at Food City. I was looking for chicken and pork chops to replace what I lost when I had the freezer mishap.

This afternoon Al is going to help me with some outdoor projects. Frances is cooking dinner for us tonight.

Mostly sunny and breezy today with temperatures in the low 80’s.

I spent most of the day at the bookstore. We were very busy this morning tapering off some this afternoon.

James called to let me know he stopped by the house to confirm that it’s too dry to mow.  Since I did not answer the door he was checking to make sure I was okay. I have great neighbors.

Sunny and breezy today with temperatures in the upper 70’s.

I drove over to Galax, VA this morning to do a Wal-Mart run. I picked up extra canned goods and other pantry items along with a few odds and ends I could not find at this Food Lion.

On the way back home I drove into Sparta to stop at Food Lion to pick up milk and salad greens then came home.

Several odds and ends to do this afternoon including watering the plants.
