I am reading on my Kindle, the last book in Sally Wright’s Ben Reese series, Watches of the Night published in 2008. She went five years between this one and the previous one. She did publish a Prequil to the series, also in 2008, but one I am not interested in reading. Bob and I have read the other four books in the series which I was able to find at various used book stores but could never find this last one. Bob ended up buying it for me for my Kindle 2.99. $2 more than he likes to pay but was willing to get it for me. I guess he will read it eventually.
The books are set in the early 1960’s but Wright takes us back and forth between the 60’s and WWII when Ben served as a scout. His WWII experiences are always a link to the current day murders. This series has more of a historical/spy thriller feel to it. I guess at some point I will write and ask her if she is working on another book in the series.
