I had a bushel basket full of ironing to get done this morning. Then I did a semi-deep house cleaning hitting the rooms I do not do on a regular basis such as the living room and dinning room. Also, I pulled everything out of the bedroom closet floor and vacuumed it. Bob had shoes in back he does not wear often that were covered with two inches of dust and dog hair.
We just dodged a bullet with a really bad storm on a smaller scale than the one that hit up in the DC/Maryland area yesterday. It was smaller and north and west of us but came off the mountain and went east just clipping the corner of Forsyth county. The direct line was blowing winds of 70 to 80 mph. Even with us just on the outer edge the wind blew up, the power bleeped on/off and several large limbs came down.
We still under a watch until 8pm. The town of Mt. Airy where the storm hit went from 98 degrees to 78. We dropped from about 98 down to 9o but, once the sun comes back out I am sure we will climb back up to close to 100.
Not sure if we will get any rain today so I gave the plants another good drenching. I have been working on kit stuff since after lunch.
