Between being busy at work and dealing with the care of dad I will soon be a strong candidate for the loony bin. I spent off and on all day yesterday talking with doctors, nurses, etc. on the issue of to give dad his dose of vancomysin last night or night. We were back to lab yesterday morning for more blood work after his Monday labs came back high.
Finally at 4pm yesterday the consensus was to hold the dose and go back to the doctor this afternoon for his 4:15 appointment and more blood work. Frances came by the doctor’s office on her way home and she took dad back home so I could come home to wait on the doctor to call to let us know if he gets a dose tonight.
He finally called at 7 with a no dose call and back to the lab again tomorrow. Then we wait to see if he gets a dose tomorrow night. Can’t wait to get off this merry-go-round.
