44 degrees this morning, sunny, and calm. Warmed up to the upper 50’s today with lots of sunshine.

I drove into town to run some errands; library, bookstore, and drugstore. A very nice day to be out and about.

I ran into one of our bookstore volunteers at the library. We are only open Thursday – Saturday from 11 to 3. She said sales are booming, mostly from out of town folks. Wonderful that Sparta is a small town shopping destination. When I drove through town the curbside parking was full and lots of folks were out and about eating and shopping.

36 degrees with snow showers when we went out this morning. The sun is out now. Temperatures in the upper 30’s today with the winds picking up this afternoon back to our 40 mph gusts.

I am being discharged from the other home health services today, OT and nursing.

29 degrees, sunny, and calm with a heavy frost when we went out this morning. It’s warmed up into the mid 40’s this afternoon.

I washed a load of towels and worked on some stuff at my desk. I gave one of my three house  plants needed to be trimmed back now that it has finished blooming. Otherwise, not much else going on.

26 degrees this morning and sunny but mild. It warmed up into the upper 40’s.

Another trip down to Winston today for a follow up appointment with my orthopedic. All is well. He will see me in 6 weeks. It was at least another nice day to drive up and down the mountain.

24 degrees, sunny and windy this morning when we out.

Today I drove myself to Winston for the first time in about 8 months. I met Al at Bed Bath and Beyond to help me pick up something I was not sure I could handle by myself, stopped at Wal-Mart on the grocery side to pick a couple of things, then went on to my haircut.

Even though back is still not good it was great to get out and do stuff on my own. I need to try to get some semblance of normality back.
