62 degrees, sunny, and breezy when I left for the gym. Grocery store stop on the way back home then back to the gym to work.

It has been a beautiful day here in the mountains. High of 75, low humidity, lots of sunshine, and a not as breezy as it was this morning. Fall is just around the corner.

62 degrees and cloudy when I left for the gym. It’s been a very strange weather day. It looked like rain when I got to the gym. When I left to come back home the sun was shinning.

After checking the weather radar I grabbed gloves and a bucket and headed to the yard to pull weeds, deadhead flowers, etc. Not 20 minutes later fog, clouds, and a misty rain rolled in that was not on the radar. Back in the house we came. I did a few things at my desk and then headed for the shower. By the time I was out of the shower the sun was back out though there were still heavy clouds around. Breezy this afternoon with sun and clouds and temperatures in the mid 70’s.

I am reading Uneasy Lies the Crown by Tasha Alexander.

60 degrees and raining this morning. I volunteered at the bookstore this morning. It’s another dreary, foggy, overcast day with temperatures just barely making it to the mid 60’s.

54 degrees, foggy, and damp when I left for the gym than back home and back to the gym to work my shift.

The weather was ugly all day with fog and temperatures barely in the 60’s but no rain. Looked all day like it was going to pour.

I am reading A Cotswold Mystery by Rebecca Tope.

54 degrees, cloudy, and breezy this morning when I took Colin out. It’s another gray, chilly day with temperatures in the low 60’s and breezy at times but no rain in the forecast.

The usual house cleaning chores this morning including changing the sheets and washing those plus the weekly load of towels.

58 degrees and raining. It rained most of the night and all morning. It’s still cloudy and breezy with temperatures in the upper 50’s. I’ve had about two and half inches of rain.

I did a load of laundry and tidied up the house a bit. Not much else going on until time to fix dinner.

63 degrees, cloudy, and windy when I left for the gym. I hit a brief rain shower in town. The sun came out midday when I was back at the gym working, warming it up to the upper 70’s and it remained very windy.

We have cooler temperatures and rain coming in for the weekend.

I am reading Murder At A Vineyard Mansion by Philip R. Craig.

78 degrees, sunny, and warm when I left for the gym this morning. Grocery store stop on the way back home then back to work my midday shift.

We had a pretty bad storm around 2:30 with torrential rain and wind at the gym. Not a lot of thunder and lightening. I checked the rain gauge here. I only had less than 2 tenths of an inch. I don’t know if we did not get the rain we had at the gym or it was blowing so sideways it did not register in the electronic or the plastic gauges. That storm went through dropping the temperature down from 85 to 71.

74 degrees and sunny when I left for Winston this morning.  I made a pet store stop on the way to my haircut appointment. From there I several other errands to run including the bookstore where I ran into an old friend that still works at the library system where I worked. She started out as a page when I was head of one of our branches. Now, she runs one of the branches.

Lunch with Tina and Lori uptown than back up the mountain for home. 91 degrees in Winston but not that much cooler here at 85 and a breeze.

I am reading Buried in Books by Kate Carlisle.

74 degrees, sunny, and warm this morning. I volunteered at the bookstore this morning.

Another warm day for the mountains with temperatures in the mid 80’s and 66% humidity. Things are starting to get a bit dry. Unless we get rain today or tomorrow James may stop by to let me know he will not mow this week.
