Sunny and 36 degrees this morning with a very heavy frost. But, it did not stay long once the sun got up higher and the temperatures started to warm up. It’s a really nice day outside with clear blue skies and high’s in the low 50’s with a breeze.

I had computer and paperwork stuff to sort out this morning. Since it’s such a pretty day I will grab a couple more of the cloth pots and put out some more lettuce on the deck.

Gym this morning. It was 46 degrees this morning with cloudy skies and drizzle. I left here around 12:45 for Jefferson. I made a quick stop at Lowe’s Home Improvement to pick some more potting soil before going on to my 2 pm appointment with the accountant.

It was not raining until I reached Jefferson where the temperatures had fallen to 39 degrees. It’s currently 38 here and raining. Back to somewhat normal temperatures for February.

Sunday I put out two pots of lettuce on the deck but ran out of potting soil to do more.

Another cloudy day with rain showers and lots of wind this morning. We had a break in the clouds, the wind, and the rain just after mid-day giving Colin a chance for an out and a play time. Now, the clouds are rolling back in and bringing more rain.

House cleaning chore this morning; vacuuming, dusting, and mopping the bathroom floor.

BTW, the bread turned out pretty good.

The day started out cloudy and breezy with a  pretty good rain shower about 9 am. The sun came out mid-morning to warm things up the low 60’s. It’s back to partly cloudy again this afternoon.

First thing this morning I very bravely pulled out the bread recipe. Bob always measured and I mixed. We use the King Bread flour web site recipe for no knead bread. It looked “normal” when I mixed it up. After two hours the dough had risen as it should. It’s now in the fridge. I will bake it for dinner and see how it turned out.

After getting the bread dough mixed I went down to work in  the lab. I pulled out all the boxes on and under the built in shelf to see what was what. Not really too much once I sorted it all. Some of it was stuff we packed and brought up from Winston and stored as is.

This afternoon I took Colin out to play. I sat on the porch for awhile enjoying the nice weather.

I am reading Pekoe Most Poison by Laura Childs.

It was pea soup fog when I headed to the gym this morning. It had lifted some by the time I left to come back home. After a quick shower, let the dog out, and check e-mails, I headed back to the gym for a golf tournament committee meeting.

Now the sun is out, it’s 62 degrees, and breezy.

Warm and sunny after a partly cloudy start to the day. I decided it was a  good morning for doing some outdoor chores. Several months ago during one of our windy spells a small tree fell over on the cow fence in the back. It just landed on top of the barbed wire but a good portion of it was hanging over into my yard. I cut it off at the fence line so James would not run into it when he starts mowing. And, with all the trees still dormant, I trimmed back some more over hanging limbs along the side property fence line. It’s actually not much of a fence. It’s cow fencing as well and most of it is sagging and rusted. There’s a good 15 feet of natural area from the lawn to the fencing. I try to keep the big limbs and brush cleaned up so at least it looks nice. I now have a pretty good sized brush pile for James to haul off.

In the butterfly garden by the garage the fern like plants that died off and rotted during the winter are now sporting green underneath. I pulled off all the dead foliage and cleaned up the dead leaves.

Gym this morning. More rain, fog, and drizzle until this afternoon when the sun finally showed up. I headed back into town around 11:30 to meet to JoAnne for lunch at Becca’s, From there made three more stops to take care of estate stuff.

Not much going on. It’s another cloudy, drizzly, warm day. I’m working on paper work and projects. My tulips are starting to come up and the primroses are greening up beneath the brown leaves from the winter.

Gym this morning. I’ve spent the entire day either dealing with kit orders, business stuff, and/or estate stuff.

After an early morning of drizzle the sun has been trying to come out this afternoon. We are having spring like weather with temperatures in the mid 50’s for both highs and lows. We will pay for this in March I am sure.

Frances and Al are back in Winston. We finally have a nice warm day with sunshine and just a slight breeze. I need to do several loads of laundry and work on some stuff at my desk.
