Well, I’ve been offline for a few days.

Monday morning I went to the gym per usual, came home, showered, and was driving over to a friends house. About halfway there I started feeling terrible but was able to get to her house which was not far away.

She rushed me to our local ED which by the time we got there I was having a full blown heart attack. After getting me stable AirCare cam and flew me to Atrium Health in Winston. They put in a stint that afternoon. Echo shows some damage that may or may not be repairable but will not know for 30 to 40 days. Needless to say I was in total shock, never dreaming it could happen to me.

Got home late this afternoon. So, lots of meds, rehab, and recovery over the next months but thankful to be here.

Warm and sunny today with highs in the low 80’s.

We were busy at the store all day. Made over $100.00. Several donations.

Mostly sunny and mild today with highs n the upper 70’s.

After a slow start to the day things picked up at the store in the afternoon. We worked on a new display for the front table and organized shelves in between customers. We did make over $100.00 so a good day all around.

Sunny and nice this morning when I left for gym. Temps only in the upper 60’s.

Came home and showered then left to go go Donna’s. We picked up Debra and drove down to Wilkesboro. We ate lunch at the really nice little BBQ place then spent several hours cruising through a neat antique consignment place next door. Very nicely organized and clean.

From there we stopped at the pet store so Donna could pick up a couple of things then headed back up the mountain. It was hot down there, in the upper 80’s, but its only in the mid 70’s here.

Sunny and warm today with highs in the low 80’s and breezy. Only had about 3 inches of rain here at the house from the tropical storm.

A busy day at the store in the afternoon. The morning had a lot of folks in but just looking and not buying. The afternoon picked with lots of folks in and buying stuff so we did end up making over $100.00.

A nasty day in North Carolina as hurricane Debby made landfall along the coast. Now a tropical storm it is heading right up the middle of the state. It is further west than expected because originally we were not supposed to get much  in the way of rain or wind.

I had a haircut appointment in Winston so I left mid morning. It was mostly light rain until I made it down the mountain. From there into Winston on the back road I hit off and on squalls of rain and wind. In town they just had light rain. I was supposed to have lunch with the girls but they canceled and decided they would work from home. I ran a quick errand then headed back home. Mostly light rain and wind all the way home until I was at the bottom of the mountain. Hit some more rain squalls and wind but nothing major. We just have rain and wind here and so far only about an inch of rain but under a flash flood watch through tonight.

Mostly sunny except for a brief heavy rain shower early afternoon. As usual, it rained hard in town but not here at the house. Been that way for the last couple of weeks. After the shower the sun came back out and it has turned warm and humid with highs in the low 80’s.

We did not have many customers at the store today but we were busy. Had at least six donations come in to sort and price, I helped Joyce with window, and, had to straighten and organize several shelves.

I had an early appointment in Winston with a dermatologist to look at a couple of what I thought were small moles on my upper arm. One was a mole that she numbed and sent off to the lab. The other is just some sort of skin growth that she froze and will eventually fall off.

From there I hit Costco for my big early fall run. Stocked up on water, a few food items, some toiletries, etc. Then I drove across town to the side where we used to live to meet Bonnie for lunch at Mama Zoe’s and back home.

It was hot down the mountain with temps in the low 90’s. At least up here it is in the low 80’s with moderate humidity. Now, to unload the car and put all the stuff away then do some work here at my computer.

Warm and muggy today with highs in the low 80’s. We had off and on showers all afternoon then a big thunderstorm around 5 pm.

It was half price paperback sale day at the store plus Music on Main. The storm lasted about an hour then it cleared up. The 5 pm bands went back out under their tents to play until the main stage band started at 7. We were busy all day until late afternoon. The torrential rains kept folks away for about an hour. I walked down to Muddy Creek to grab some takeout to eat during the lull. Things picked up between 6:30 and 7:30. We did well over $200.00 for the day. When I left there was a nice large crowd for the main act.

Warm, sunny, and breezy today with highs in the low 80’s and a little humid for us.

A slow day at the store with customers. I had several donations to sort to keep me busy.

George came by early before I left for work to finish up a small project that I was in no hurry to get done. He came by yesterday and cemented in the rock that had fallen loose along the foundation and the chimney.
