Sunny and warm today with highs in the upper 70’s. We’ve had no rain for almost a month. Things are getting dry.

I worked until noon at the store then left to drive over to Jefferson for my cardiac rehab class then drove back to town to finish working the rest of the afternoon at the store. We had a relatively good day but did not make over $100.00. Typical Wednesday for this time of year.

A nice, cool start to the morning with temperatures in the low 60’s.

I went to the gym this morning to do my 30 minute walk. From there I left for Winston. Still warm down the mountain with highs in the low to mid 80’s. We are in the low to mid 70’s up here.

I ran an errand at Home Depot then went to my two gynecology appointments for my annual mammogram and checkup. Then, back up the mountain.

Cloudy with some light drizzle this morning but the sun came out mid-morning. But, chilly and breezy all day with highs in the upper 60’s.

An off and on busy day for our half price paperback sale day. It was also the last Music on Main for the season which we stay open until 7:30. We did make over $200.00 for the day.

Sunny with highs in the upper 60’s to lower 70’s with a breeze. Leaves are just starting to turn.

I worked two hours at the store this morning then left to drive over to Jefferson for my rehab. Today we could choose which cardio machine we wanted to do and go for as long as we felt like doing. Instead of doing two more cardio machines we did a series of exercises at 30 second intervals that consisted of a chair squats, overhead arm raises with weights, step ups, wall push ups, and exercise band pulls. We did two circuits of those. A nice change of pace and a chance to get in some upper body work.

Mostly sunny today and mild with temperatures in the mid to upper 70’s but humid. We had a couple of off and on rain showers with some thunder during the middle of the day. Between the short storm yesterday afternoon and one here sometime today I’ve had an inch of rain so far.

A busy day at the store. A steady stream of customers most of the day. We made over $200.00 so a good day all around.

Warm and sunny today with highs in the mid 80’s and a bit of a breeze.

I worked at the store from 10 to 12 then left to drive over to Jefferson for my first cardiac rehab class. Just like being at the gym. They had me do three machines at 10 minutes each. They check your blood pressure before and after and during one of your exercises. All my vitals looked good. Today was an easy day for my first run so we did not push my too hard on the resistance side of things.

On the way back into town stopped by the library the pick up some books then came home. I had a backup at the store this afternoon so no need to go back in.

Warm and sunny today with highs in the mid to upper 80’s and a slight breeze.

I went to the bookstore per my usual time this morning. I can price and shelve books and help folks find stuff as well as my normal place at the desk taking money. No heavy lifting of boxes or stacks of books.

I left there around 1:30 to drive over to Jefferson for my cardio rehab program set up. It will be like going to the gym three times a week but in Jefferson. Not sure how many classes I have to complete for the program but they will get me back up to where I was when I had my heart attack. In between going to the classes I will continue my walking program per my out patient instructions.

We are having fall like weather in August with temperatures in the low 70’s, lots of sunshine, and a nice breeze.

Several friends stop by yesterday to help do things to get me settled in and on the road to recovery. I have started on my walking schedule suggested by the discharge instructions that I do three times a day. For right now, I am walking up and down my long driveway until I can walk for longer periods of time.

Otherwise, I can do light things around the house but nothing strenuous. One friend brought lots of meals to get me through these first few days.
