Mostly sunny today with temperatures in the low 80’s and a bit humid.

I went to the gym then came home and did some outdoor stuff. It was hot in the sun and we did not have much of a breeze. I weeded and dead headed the flowers out by the mailbox then did the same in the butterfly garden. Moved the three primroses along the yard side of the sidewalk to the butterfly garden.

Between the grass and the stone crop I no longer have a strip that I used to plant flowers in during the summer. So I moved them before they were over taken.

After lunch I went over to Donna’s. Visited with her and the dogs then we did some craft stuff in her she shed.

Warm, sunny, and breezy today with highs in the mid 80’s and a bit humid.

Busy, busy day yesterday and today at the store. Close to $300.00 both days. Today was the 4th of July parade followed by Music on Main. We always stay open late for that. So, lots of folks in town for the holiday weekend.

Sunny and warm today with highs in the upper 80’s, a little higher humidity, and the usual 10 mph breeze.

A busy day at the store. Almost all out of town folks in town to escape the heat down the mountain or visiting relatives, etc. Fireworks in town tonight and other assorted activities tomorrow and Saturday. Most of the stores on Main street were open bringing a good amount of foot traffic up our way. We did make over $100.00 so a good day for us as well.

Sunny and upper 60’s this morning when I left for Winston for my haircut appointment. From there I stopped at Home Depot to pick up bird seed then on to Village Tavern to meet Jean for lunch. It’s been since before Covid that we’ve gotten together it was nice to see her and get caught up.

Temperatures in Winston in the mid  90’s and humid. I headed back up the mountain from lunch and drove into town to pick up and return a book at the library and stop at the drugstore.

Low 80’s here with low humidity but not as breezy as usual.

Sunny and breezy today with highs in the upper 70’s and humidity levels in the %30 range. A nice day.

Went to the gym this morning. Came home and watered all the pots and plants in the grounds and did some weeding in the bed along the porch. We’ve had several light showers over the last couple of days but not enough to water the plants with the winds blowing drying things out.

After lunch I had a Friends of the Library meeting. Afterward, ran a couple of errands in town before heading back home.

Warm and sunny today with highs in the low to mid 80’s and a light breeze. We had a quick heavy downpour early this morning around 1 am that woke me up. Just and couple of tenths of an inch but added a little more moisture to the ground. Over the last few days we’ve had at least a little over  half an inch which is better than nothing. James had to skip mowing this week because it has been so dry.

A busy day at the store. Between cooler temperatures than down the mountain and a couple of events going on in town it was steady pretty much all day.  Did well over the $100.00 mark. Yesterday we did well over $200.00 so a good weekend to finish out the month.

Sunny and 68 degrees when I left for Winston early this morning for my 10:00 am eye doctor appointment. Routine checkup and all looked well.

I was hot down the mountain. After my appointment I met Nancy and Betsy for lunch at Carriage House. Temperatures were in the upper 90’s and I am sure in some places it was well over 100. It is very dry down there as well.

Back up here temperatures are in the mid to upper 80’s with less than %50 humidity and a slight breeze. We are moderately dry up here but most of the state is in need of rain.  I watered everything real good Sunday so will water again tomorrow unless we get some rain.

Sunny and breezy today with highs in the upper 70’s. Winds are gusting in the 10 to 15 mph range.

Did not go to the gym this morning. Instead I started about 9:30 on scrubbing down the deck. Where the water sits on the boards was turning then a little black looking as well as the usual dirt and grime.

I had one small problem to solve and that was getting water/hose up to the deck. There are no stairs attached. I have a hose and a connection under the deck but had no way to get it up to the deck even standing on a ladder which I did not want to try.

Last week I went to Lowe’s and bought one of those lightweight nylon 50 foot hoses. Problem solved. Dropped the end down to the ground and attached it to a long hose connector I had. When we had the garden I used it to attach to the hose reel so I could pull it out closer to the garden.

Only took me about two hours or so. Looks like new again.

Mostly sunny and breezy with highs in the upper 70’s to low 80’s

An off and on busy day at the store. We did make over $100.00 due to a couple of big sales to put us over the top. Mostly out of town folks today.

We had a major thunderstorm Monday night that dropped over 2″ of rain in about an hour. Yesterday morning and again this morning we having minor earthquakes in various parts of the county. I heard at least one that was near my house yesterday.

Partly sunny and warm today with highs in the mid to upper 70’s.

I went to the gym, ran a couple of errands in town, then home. I spent and hour or so weeding and watering, swept off the front porch, and did a few other odds and ends outside.

Before I went out to water I checked the weather. No forecast of rain or anything on the radar. Came in, showered and fixed my lunch. We just finished having one of those pop up storms. Winds blowing and pouring rain. Got a little less than half an inch. Now the sun is back out. So, plants are now very watered.

Need to change the sheets and do some odds and ends in the kitchen this afternoon.
