A beautiful sunny day with highs in the low to mid 70’s and light winds.
I went to the gym then back home to work outside. Trimmed back the white quince to keep it small after the major trimming a few months ago. Weeded the two beds along the porch and cut back the bleeding heart that had finished blooming. Moved a few clumps of stone crop to a spot at the far edge of porch to get it started and another one out by the driveway.
I have a few things to do here at the computer this afternoon and the usual kitchen chores.
Mostly sunny today and warm with temperatures in the upper 60’s to low 70’s and calm winds.
I went to the gym this morning then from there drove over to Boone to get oil change, tire rotation, and inspection on the car. On the way back I stopped in Jefferson at the garden center to pick up a couple more plants I needed for my log planter and one more hanging basket. Also added couple more to the butterfly garden now that I am redoing it.
Planted that stuff then weeded the beds along the porch and in the butterfly garden and watered the pots. Swept up the mess in the garage and filled the bird feeders then called it a day.
Sunny and low 70’s when I left for Winston this morning.
I met Betsy and Nancy for lunch at West End Cafe. Warm and humid down the mountain with temps in the 80’s.
Back home, it’s still in the low 70’s with rain. Hit and miss storms through tonight, hopefully none severe.

Clouds rolled in this afternoon bringing a couple of heavy downpours and some thunder. I had a Friends of the Library meeting then went to Donna’s to visit with her and the dogs. Debra stopped by later so stayed to chat with her as well.
Now the sun is back out. Temperatures are in the upper 60’s but it’s humid.
