Diaries

This morning we had a mix of several types of precipitation that fell off and on all morning. We were right at the freeing mark. As things warmed up into the low 40’s it turned to rain off and on all day with a breeze. We just barely missed a white event.

We were moderately busy at the store. With several big sales we almost made $100. Pat and I worked on pricing and organizing shelves. We have a young lady who is volunteering hours starting today for several Fridays to get credits to go to college.

After work I met Donna and Jo at the Cellar. Still raining when we left. I’ve had close to an inch here at the house.

Off and on sun and clouds today with intermittent light rain showers.

Gym this morning. This afternoon drove over to West Jefferson for my appointment to have my taxes done. While I was over in that area I stopped at Lowe’s to pick up a couple of things.

Otherwise, that’s about it for today.

A strange weather day. We’ve had alternately sunshine and snow/sleet/wet mix squalls day. Temperatures in the mid 30’s and wind chills down into the 20’s. Temperature tonight down into the low 20’s.

A very busy day this morning at the store. We went over $100 by noon but then things fell off for the afternoon. I worked, again, on pricing and shelving books. Pat was at the library function so Wendy and I held down the fort.  Whew, been a tiring week at the store. Ready for a break.

Rain this morning than partly cloudy this afternoon. Only had about a 10th of an inch. The winds picked up this afternoon. Clear skies tonight and temperatures down into the low 30’s.

We had a slow day in sales though still a good day. At least made over $50.00. Pat and I priced and shelved books all day in between customers.

I met Donna and Ann after work at the Cellar.

Sunny and mild today with highs in the low 50’s and a light breeze.

A slow day in sales at the store but a big day for donations. We worked on them all day and still have boxes and boxes to sort and price. Thankfully, we have the back storage room to put them until we can get them sorted.

Sunny today but chilly and breezy with highs in the mid 40’s.

Went to the gym then ran a couple of errands in town before heading back home. A few things to do here at my desk but otherwise not much else going on.

Cold today with highs in the low 30’s and 40 to 50 mph wind gusts. Wind chill is in the teens. We go down into the 20’s tonight with the winds.

A very busy day at the store. We had two big donations come in to process. Lots of customers, many from out of town, visiting for the day. We broke the $200.00 ceiling. We were tired by the end of the day for sure.
