Sunny and warm today with highs in the mid 70’s and calm winds.
A busy day at the store. Several donations to sort and price. We easily broke the $100.00 ceiling with a lot of folks from out of town cruising the sidewalks and some locals.
Sunny and 61 degrees when I left for Winston around 10 this morning. I ran a couple of errands then met my friends from the Firm for lunch at Little Richards.
From there I had a haircut and then headed back up the mountain. It was in the low 80’s in the flat lands but were are in the low 70’s here. Leaves are almost at their peak colors at my elevation.
Sunny today with highs in the low to mid 60’s and thankfully, not blustery winds.
Gym and grocery store this morning. Picked up the usual weekly items plus a few things for the pantry.
I spent an hour or so doing more fall cleanup in the flower beds. Pulled up some more annuals done for the year. Also, divided a few perennials that are getting too big and spread out where they live. Leaves are already starting to pile up in the corners by the porch.
Sunny today with temperatures in the mid 50’s. Gusty winds started over night and will continue all day today with 20 mph winds and higher gusts.
We are spending a leisurely day at home with nowhere we really needed to go.
For dinner tonight we are fixing a tray of Rao’s Eggplant Parmesan I bought at Costco along with garlic bread.
Today has been a series of rain showers between bouts of sunshine and occasionally, rain and sunshine. Temperatures in the mid 50’s but with the wind gusts it feels more like 45. As I was driving home from town the rain was blowing in sheets blowing the leaves everywhere. I once clear lawn is now covered from all the leaves blowing down from trees in the pasture behind me.
The day started off slow at the store but picked up considerable this afternoon. We did break the $100.00 ceiling. The majority of our customers where from out of town for the weekend to enjoy the fall color and to do some hiking. The bad weather helped us sine it was not a good day for hiking they were in town shopping.
Frances and Al are on their way up for the weekend.
Mostly cloudy today with highs in the upper 60’s and breezy. Winds will pick up tonight with gusts in the 45 mph range as the cold front comes in.
We had a busy day at the store with customers and donations. I had to leave around 2:30 to go to an event but we had broken the $100 ceiling by that time.
My friend’s son and significant other are expecting a baby so I attended the shower this afternoon.
Sunny today and nice with highs in the low 70’s and a light breeze.
A nice day at the bookstore. We almost broke the $100.00 ceiling. Several donations came in to work on.
After work I met a friend downstairs at The Cellar to enjoy a couple of glasses of wine and an appetizer. It’s a nice place to hang out.
