Warm, sunny, and breezy with highs in the upper 60’s.

A busy day for a Wednesday at the store. Quite a few out-of-town folks. We did just barely break the $100.00 ceiling. Had several local folks come in to not only buy to sit and chat. We are somewhat like the old country store everyone sits around and solves the problems of the world except we talk books and local gossip.

A sunny, warm day with temperatures in the upper 60’s and breezy.

I drove over to Boone, NC this morning to get the car serviced at Modern. Made a quick stop at Lowe’s in Jefferson to look for something then back home. Otherwise, not much going on this afternoon.

We had a busy day at the store. Easily broke the $100.00 ceiling. A few first time folks but a lot of regulars who knew it was half price paperback sale day. We had a couple of donations.

I met Donna and a couple of her friends at North Flow Steakhouse after work. It’s just down from the main downtown area. Had a nice, enjoyable evening. Her friends left early but Donna and I sat outside on the bench and chatted for awhile.

I stopped by the library to return and pick up some books this morning on the way to the store.

Another slow day. We had a few customers off and on during the day. Mostly regulars but a few from out of town. We did not break the $100.00 ceiling for the day and have just barely broken it for the three days. But, things are slowing down for the season with not as many tourists in town during the week. Had one small donation to work on.

Low this morning around 24 degrees. Sunny today but cold with temperatures in the low 30’s with 20 to 25 mph wind gusts.

We had a moderately busy day at the store but did not break the $100.00 ceiling. While Joyce worked on the new window display I worked on the feature table for the month as well as processed a donation.

Temperature when I left for Winston this morning was 44 degrees with heavy overcast skies.

It was in the low 50’s with misty rain in Winston. I had a follow up appointment to check my left eye. The big floater that was blocking my vision has finally gone away for now. All looked well behind the eye and I am good to go until my regular check up next year.

I ran a couple of errands then back up the mountain. It drizzled off and on all the way home. Temps are holding at 44 degrees and the sun has come out but we are under a freeze warning for tonight to go down into the low 20’s

I stopped here to drop off some stuff and grab a snack for lunch. Then I went to pick up JoAnne and deliver her back to the auto mechanics to pick up her car. I picked her up from there last night. We grabbed some dinner then I took her home.

After I dropped her off then came back home. I have some indoor things to do this afternoon.

Sunny and warm with highs in the upper 60’s but windy. 15 to 20 mph gusts. Leaves are blowing everywhere. James did not mow last week because it is so dry and i did not have many leaves down. He will come this week for the last time. What falls after that will blow away this winter when we have out 70 mph winds.

Went to the gym, library, and grocery store. Picked up the weekly items plus a few things for the pantry.

Tonight will be in the low 30’s but tomorrow night will drop down into the 20’s for the next several nights. I pulled the few annuals still in the ground since the freeze will make them mushy and hard to get up.

This afternoon need to change the sheets and do some stuff here at my desk.
