Sunny, breezy, and warm most of the day with temperatures in the low 80’s. Clouds are starting to roll in across the mountain perhaps bringing  some rain or a thunderstorm.

A very busy day at the bookstore from mid morning until closing. We did break the $100.00 ceiling very easily. Lots of out of town folks today along with a few regulars.

Partly cloudy, warm, and muggy today with highs in the low 80’s. Scattered thunderstorms this afternoon but so far not much in the way of precipitation here at the house. We had a couple of short showers in town.

A rather slow day at the bookstore. Not much traffic on the sidewalks either. We were far from the $100.00 ceiling but had an okay day. Couple of small, nice donations came in to work on.

I went to the gym then came home and worked outside for about hour and half. I had just finished up when James arrived to mow. I dug weeds, cut off the spent lily stalks along the driveway and dead headed some more flowers.

I need to do a few things here at my desk and a couple of odds and ends in the house this afternoon.

We had an off and on busy day at the store. Almost broke the $100.00 ceiling so a good day all around. Otherwise, worked on a couple of donations and organizing the shelves.

The bookstore had a summer camp group at the church down the street come in and do some volunteer work today. We scheduled it for today since we closed. It would too much to try to handle them plus customers.

15 young folks along with a chaperon and the young associate pastor who runs the program. They ranged in age from 6th grade through 12th about half girls and half boys.

We divided them into three groups of 5. Joyce had one of the older groups in the back annex helping here. Pat had the other older group working with her on a book shelf project and I had the middle age group doing cleaning. They cleaned the benches outside the store, the railings that go to the downstairs, and swept the front. We then had them vacuum the hallway and the inside of the store.

They dusted shelves and straightened shelves. Whew, lots of energy but they did a great job. They left at noon, Pat, Joyce, and I then went to lunch at the Pizzeria.

I need to deadhead some flowers and check the ground and pots to see if things need watered.

Sunny and cooler again today with highs in the upper 70’s and breezy. We started out the day in the mid 60’s. Had about an inch of much needed rain yesterday.

I went to the gym and grocery store this morning. Just picked up the usual milk and lettuce. Dead headed the flowers in the pots on the porch and steps.

Friends of the Library meeting this afternoon and changing the sheets.

Warm and sunny with temperatures in the low 80’s and breezy.

We started off at the store today like we did yesterday. Not too many sales this morning but from 1 o’clock until closing had a store full of customers. Lots of out of town folks some who make our store their destination whenever they are in town. Broke the $200.00 ceiling. I believe that this week is the first time we have made over either $100 or $200 all for days we are open.

In between customers Pat and I put up several decent sized donations and organized shelves. A busy day all around.

Things started off slow at the store this morning. Pat and I worked on a big donation that came in yesterday. Around mid-morning until closing things picked up considerable and we did break the $100.00 ceiling. So far this spring and early part of the summer the store is doing very well in sales most days.

I watered a few of the plants in pots. We had a thunderstorm last night but, again, it went around my house.
