Several rain storms yesterday afternoon and a steady rain last night. It was sunny early this morning but the rain started again about mid morning.
My friend Tina arrived about 11:30. We went into town for lunch at Muddy Creek. It rained, hard at times, while we were in the restaurant but finally let up enough to get back to the car. After a break in the rain the winds have picked up and it looks like rain again. Overall I think we’ve had another inch total.
She just left to head home after a nice long visit.
Mostly cloudy and warm this morning. A chance of storms this afternoon and evening ahead of a cold front bringing cooler temperatures for the weekend.
I went to the gym and stopped at Hawks on the way home. Picked up a couple small four packs of annuals to fill in where I’ve lost some. I planted those, dead headed some flowers, watered the new stuff in case we don’t get rain and swept off the front porch covered in seeds and pollen.

Sunny this morning and warm. It clouded up this afternoon with a few spotty showers here and there with temps in the upper 60’s to low 70’s.
I volunteered at the bookstore from 11:45 to 2:45.
James had just finished mowing my neighbors yard which he mows after mine. He said it did not rain here.
Rain started about 5:30 last night as a heavy downpour then settled into a steady rain that lasted until 8 pm or so amounting to around a much needed 3 inches.
Off to Winston this morning for a haircut and then meeting Bonnie for lunch at Coppola’s for lunch which is out where we used to live and is on the way home via back road hwy 67.
Low 90’s down the mountain but in the mid 70’s here. I hit a couple of heavy rain showers once I made it to the top of mountain. Looks like we’ve only had a brief shower here according to both rain gauges but may get some more later this afternoon.

We had a brief shower over night amounting to about 3 tenth’s of an inch. Today is warm with temps in the mid 70’s but humid. A chance of storms this afternoon.
This morning when I had Colin out around 6:15 I saw a bear in the cow field by the neighbors house. The field only has a mom and her calf in there but when I first caught the movement out of the corner of my eye I thought it was them coming over to see Colin. Fortunately Steve is fine with him going going over there since Colin thinks it’s part of his territory.
I then noticed the posture and and realized it was a small bear. Thankfully it was running away from the fence and up toward the other side of the field. First time since I’ve lived up here I have seen one. They are a menace in other parts of the county but where I have not had any problems.
Off to library to pick up books and the earthquake office to pick up my check to deposit in the bank then the grocery store.

I cleaned the bathrooms, vacuumed, and dusted. Washing a load of towels. Need to water the plants, fill the bird feeders, etc.
Sunny and breezy today with temps in the upper 70’s. It’s getting very dry. We have not had any substantial rainfall for ever a week with non in the forecast for the next few days.
Spent a little time this morning pulling weeds and doing a few other gardening chores. Laundry this afternoon. I have chicken thighs to go in the crock pot for dinner.
Another warm spring day with lots of sunshine and temps in the mid to upper 70’s.
I went to the gym this morning. Stopped at Scott’s on the way home to pick up a bag of mulch. Just needed enough to go around some plants in the small bed by the side stoop.
They loaded it for me. When I got it home I parked near the spot and slid it out of the back of the car onto the driveway near the bed where it needed to go.
Need to water the hanging baskets and sweep the birdseed off the porch again.
