62 degrees, foggy, and damp when I left for the gym. We had a slight drizzle this morning on the way back home from the gym. Back to the gym to work the midday shift.
It was cloudy and foggy all day until late this afternoon. The high was only 64 degrees. Low tonight is to be 51.
72 degrees and sunny this morning. I volunteered at the bookstore this morning. Sunny and warm this afternoon with temperatures in the low 80’s.
62 degrees and sunny when I left for the gym this morning. It’s a beautiful day with temperatures starting out cool but warming up into the low 80’s this afternoon with a breeze.
I had my six month dental checkup appointment at 11. I guess Colin and I will spend some time outdoors this afternoon enjoying the nice weather.

Last night I went out to dinner with some friends at Crave here in Sparta.
I did the weekly house cleaning chores, etc. this morning and washed a load of towels.
Today we have clear blue skies, a slight breeze, and temperatures in the low 80’s.

69 degrees and sunny this morning. We had a thunderstorm last night around 9 that lasted about an hour dropping an inch and half of rain.
This morning I drove up to the Blue Ridge Parkway to help Joyce man the Parkway Friends table at the Brinegar Cabin Day. It was foggy and damp. Last nights storm wrecked a couple of the tents that had been set up for today including ours. We shared the Blue Ridge Parkway tent that did not get damaged. They are the government side of the Parkway, we are the volunteer side, so it worked out well. It was foggy, damp, and drizzly all morning but when I left around 1:45 there had been over 100 people come by to see the crafts, the homemade apple butter making, and tour the garden.
Down off the Parkway where the elevation is high, it’s sunny, warm, and humid.
62 degrees and cloudy this morning when I left for the gym. Partly cloudy and cooler today but no rain or storms so far although it looked at times like it was going to pour any minute. I worked my midday shift at the gym. Lowe’s is supposed to be here this evening to install my new oven.
71 degrees and sunny this morning when I left for the gym. Library and grocery store stops on the way back home then back to work my shift.
Yesterday afternoon I drove down to Winston to run an errand and to meet Nancy and Betsy for dinner at Sweet Potatoes downtown. Nice dinner and good to catch up with friends.
Today in Sparta we are close to 90 which is very hot for us mountain folks. Fortunately, the humidity is low but no breeze.

It was 69 degrees and foggy this morning when I left for the gym.
Back home I pulled a bucketful of weeds from the beds along the porch and driveway. Sunny with a breeze this morning made it nice working outside. Temperatures are going back up into the low 80’s again today with higher humidity levels. James will not need to mow this week or again until we get some rain.
69 degrees and foggy this morning. I volunteered at the bookstore this morning. On the way home I stopped at the Life Store Insurance to see Lori. I had stopped by to talk with her last year about some insurance stuff after Bob died. I turn 65 in December of this year. She said to come see her in September to get help enrolling me with the secondary insurance. She knows exactly what is available in our area, costs, and plan comparisons. It took less than 30 minutes to get everything taken care of.
Once the fog burned off it turned warm and sunny again with temperatures in the low 80’s. Still no rain in sight.

62 degrees, sunny, and calm this morning when I left for the gym. I worked my midday shift today. The cool temperatures did not stick around. It was 86 when I left work.
