Warm temperatures with fog and rain; heavy at times. So far since the rain started sometime early this morning we had about an inch and half.

I went to the gym this morning and stopped by the library to return and pick up books. It’s always nice to see and talk with the two guys that work the desk.

This afternoon I laid out another 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle on the table in the unfinished area downstairs. I finished an old one I had of NC lighthouses a few weeks ago that I had not worked in years. This is a new one I purchased from B&N last time I was down in Winston.

Clouds this morning gave way to lots of the sunshine this afternoon with temperatures in the low 60’s What a teaser by mother nature. Rain moves in tonight followed by several cold fronts.

I spent today at the bookstore. We were busy this morning. I covered for Joyce while she was in a meeting. Things picked up again this afternoon. I handled the sales desk while Joyce worked on stocking in the back. We had a good day with sales over $70.

Warm today with temperatures in the mid 50’s but cloudy with off and on rain showers and very dense fog.

Grocery store this morning. I found what I was looking for but there were lots of the empty sections in both the regular food aisles and the frozen food sections.

Odds and end household chores this afternoon.

Warm and sunny today with fairly calm winds. High today will make it into the low 50’s. We will get spoiled with the warm spell then get hit with another spell of cold weather.

I went to the gym this morning. This afternoon washing a load of towels. Otherwise, just hanging around the house.

Sunny today but cold Temperatures in the upper 30’s with 20 to 25 mph winds gusting to over 50. Wind chills is in the low 20’s. Tonight the temperature is to go back down into the teens.

I opened the bookstore and worked until closing with Keli who came in mid-morning. We covered for Pat who is out of town. We were steadily busy all day. Lots of out-of-town families up for the day or the weekend along with the regular local shoppers. We did a lot of sales but in small amounts but still but we still had a good day over all. We often have several shoppers, like we did today, who pay for the price of the books but give us a big bill and tell us to keep the change for the donation jar which we keep on the desk.

Sunny today but cold and windy. Temperatures are in the upper 30’s but the 20 mph wind gusts make it feel like the low 20’s. We had about an inch of rain over night. Winds were gusting well over 50 mph pelting the rain again the house and winds.

I worked at the bookstore this morning.

My car has been covered in salt since the ice event we had Monday a week ago. Since then it was cold and we had forecast of another storm for last weekend. That one did not pan out but then they called for rain for Thursday.

The little light showers we had yesterday only made it worse instead of washing it off. Today I stopped at the car wash. It’s too cold and windy to do it myself and it needed a really good cleaning to get all the crusted salt off.

Warm today with temps in the low 50’s with drizzle and fog. So far, not much more than a few tenth’s of and inch but heavier rain tonight with a wind advisory of 50 mph gusts or higher.

I went to the gym this morning then stopped at the library to return/pick up books. This afternoon i had a few things to do here at the computer but otherwise not much else going on.

Sunny this morning but clouds rolled in this afternoon. Temperatures have been steady in the low 40’s all day. Rain moving in tonight and thankfully warm temperatures.

I worked at the bookstore. Steady business all day with lots of sales in small amounts. We had several people come in looking for particular types of books. It’s always hit or miss since we depend on donations.

There is also a textbook/teachers section back in our annex we show interested customers. No room in the regular part of the store to house them. They are free for the taking or if someone wants to give us a donation. By the time I left we had hit the $50 which is a good day for the middle of the week.
