37 degrees and partly cloudy with a breeze this morning when we went out. Cloudy all day with temps in the mid 40’s. Thankfully, no rain.

House cleaning chores this morning. Once I finished up we went outside. I have finally found an effective spray to keep the field mice out of AC unit under the deck. I spray it every couple of months and so far have not seen any. When they get in through the hole where the hose connects to the house they go up to the top and die on the the little shelf by the air holes.

I sprayed for weeds that have already started trying to take over along the mulch beds with all this rain and warm weather.

When I brought up a case of bottled water from the basement and set it down on the floor there was water when I went to move it to the laundry room. I had to take out every bottle until I found the one leaking. It was still 3/4 full so not sure it it sprung a leak when I pulled it off the metal shelving or what but that has never happened with all the water we’ve bought from Costco.

That’s been my day so far. I have a few kitchen chores to do this afternoon.

18 degrees and sunny this morning when I took Colin out. A nice sunny day but chilly with temps in the mid 30’s and a bit of breeze. Nice enough to go out for some play time.

Of course, it’s laundry and project day. The humidifiers had their weekly cleaning with white vinegar. I brought my hand pruners in from the garage. After a good scrubbing with an SOS pad I sharpened the blades and sprayed the working parts with WD 40.

The butterfly weed seeds are not showing any growth. I watered them lightly and put the plastic wrap back over the containers. Just odds and ends this afternoon.

25 degrees, sunny, with a light dusting of snow. It started snowing yesterday afternoon but by 6 pm the grass was just barely white and flat surfaces had a light dusting. It was not snowing when I took Colin out lasts night around 9:30.

This morning the ground was covered but it all melted away by mid-morning. Low 40’s today with lots of sunshine and calm winds.

I did the usual house cleaning chores this morning. I have bills to pay and some other miscellaneous stuff to do at my desk this afternoon.

24 degrees with partly cloudy skies this morning when I took Colin out. We had a light dusting of snow last night. We may get another light dusting again this evening. Not as cold and windy today with temperatures in the mid 30’s.

Along with the usual load of laundry I’ve spent the day doing little projects and household chores. I also started some butterfly weed seeds in little pots in the garage as an experiment. I could not find the plant last year so decided to try from seed. They are hard to grow so the experiment may fail but it’s fun to try. Another batch of bird suet is cooling in the fridge to go out tomorrow.
